I didn’t join in with Five Fabulously Frugal Things last week as life was too busy. It wasn’t a particularly frugal week. The car cost us more money again. This time, a flat tyre! However, this does appear as one of my five fabulously frugal things I’ve done this week!
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.

Flat Tyre
Husband took the car in, expecting to have to pay for a new tyre. Our car has run-flats and cost anywhere between £70-£120 each, which is definitely not fabulously frugal. However, the local tyre man took a look at it and was able to repair it for just £15!

Free Coffee
Yes, we had enough points for two free coffees for our weekend coffee shop visit.

Free School Trip
Eldest son’s school is organising an end of year trip to a Trampoline park. The school then rewarded all the pupils with 100% attendance with the choice of £10 Amazon voucher or FREE attendance on the trip and he chose the trip.

Photoshop for Free
Eldest son wanted us to get Photoshop. Then I remembered that, as I work in education, I could get it free through work. All I need to do was request it from our IT Department and they emailed me a link to Adobe Creative Cloud and I was then able to download it. It can be installed on up to 5 devices. We took a quick look at it last night and decided we would sit down together, once the exams have finished, to investigate it further.

Cycling
Yes, my biggest saving each week – commuting by bike to work and back. This saves me £53 every 4 weeks.
It is amazing how all these little things add up each week.
How did you do?
That is great news about the tyre. They are so expensive but so vital aren't they!
Yes very good. We breathed a sigh of relief!
Can't go wrong with a free coffee and a free school trip. My son's school deals in OTIS money and he keeps telling me that his class are £5 away from a pizza party - he loves pizza.
Sounds like you had a good mechanic, he didn't have to repair it and could have probably made more selling you the new one so well done to him, and you.
A pizza party sounds cool.
In awe of your cycling. £15 tyre repair sounds brilliant - we've just been hit with a bill for two new tyres.
Love my cycling, it saves me so much money.
