1. Wonderfully Thoughtful Gifts
I received some fantastic gifts. They are not expensive but so thoughtful and just what I wanted. A planner, an address book and a notebook – all to help with my blogging and frugal because now I don’t need to go out and buy them myself!
I love chocolate, it is my main weakness but I won’t need to buy any for ages thanks to the amount I received as gifts.
3. Free Entry in Berlin
We have just returned from Berlin and I will be writing all about our adventures soon. Whilst there, we booked to visit the Reichstag and go in the big, glass dome. It was amazing and entirely free!
4. More than just breakfast
We had planned to drive to the airport and have breakfast there before our flight. Our plans changed when I realised we could book a hotel 15 minutes from the airport for just £40 for the night for all four of us in one room and the price INCLUDED breakfast. This was a LOT cheaper than just eating at the airport.
5. Cards and Gift Wrap picked up in the sales
Next year’s cards and gift wrap purchased and put away for next year, saving me about £20 on the full price!
Not bad at all considering there have been sales trying to tempt me everywhere and we have travelled to Berlin. It just goes to show that you can save money everywhere you go.
