Chilli with wraps is a really simple and quick meal. It is really versatile too as you can add in any accompaniments you want, making this a meal everyone can enjoy.
Chilli with Wraps - Quick and Easy Meal
Batch Cook Your Mince
In a previous post – ‘How to Make Multiple Meals from One Batch of Mince’ - I explained how I like to use my slow cooker to make a whole batch of mince. I then portion this out and add whichever herbs and spices I want, to make different flavoured meals. One of my favourite things to make with this mince is Chilli.
You can eat chilli in a variety of ways – with rice, on jacket potatoes with nachos. We enjoy it the most with wraps. As the chilli has been pre-cooked, it just needs defrosting and re-heating thoroughly and it’s ready to eat.
If you haven’t yet cooked your mince, you should read ‘How to Make Multiple Meals from One Batch of Mince’. Here I explain how I make a huge batch of mince in my slow cooker. You don’t need a slow cooker, you could do just the same with a large saucepan.
Once you have cooked your mince, add in your herbs and spices to make at least one portion into Chilli.
You could make your own wraps but, as time is short, I prefer to rely on the Supermarkets to provide these. Aldi do some lovely wraps and you can either have the plain ones, or try the different flavours they do.
We usually serve the wraps and chilli with grated cheese and sour cream. Some of us add salad and some just add tomatoes. You can literally add anything you like to them or just have the chilli – it’s entirely up to you.
What would you have with yours?
I am always on the lookout for new ideas. Tell me, what would your favourite accompaniments be?
