Back in January I wrote about how I wanted to investigate ways of increasing my income. My plan was to investigate lots of different ways from money making apps to selling products. I decided to start with some of the easier ways that I could do with my mobile phone. Citizenme interested me as it pays you cash and there is no minimum payout required.
HOW TO GET STARTED
You will find the app in the App Store or Google Play Store and it is completely free to download and free to use.
There are opportunities to answer short surveys, around 3 – 5 questions long for different amounts of cash. Each survey tells you clearly how much you can earn. Sometimes the surveys are ‘just for fun’ but take such little time they are really easy and fun to do and there are even opportunities to help charities by ‘donating your data’. Below you can see a screenshot from my phone app where they are offering 3 surveys ‘for fun’.
Once you have completed the survey you are able to view the overall results. I find this quite interesting to see whether my views match those of the other participants or not. There have been a couple of instances where I was sure I had the same opinion as the majority, to find I haven’t!
When you have completed all the surveys available you will be taken to this screen as confirmation that there are no more surveys to complete. It is worth checking back regularly, although you can choose to ‘allow’ notifications so you get an alert anytime a survey is available.
The unique thing about citizenme is that each time you ‘earn’ a cash reward you get paid via Paypal almost immediately AND there is NO minimum payout, so if you earn 15p, you will receive 15p in your Paypal account.
OK, so this won’t make me a millionaire but for something so easy to use, I think it is definitely worth signing up for.
My plan is to let the money build up and see how much I have at the end of the year – just as I am going to do with Receipt Hog which I reviewed last month.
