Lightbulb Moment - Have You Had Yours?
You may not realise you have had it, but if you are even considering just a teeny, weeny bit about looking into the possibilities of paying off or reducing your debt, then believe me it has happened.
What is a lightbulb moment?
A lightbulb moment is the time you realise that enough is enough. You no longer want the burden of debt hanging over you. You have realised that there is more to life and you want to get out there and do it. The only thing that is stopping you is the debt.
Guilt is a common feeling once you have had your lightbulb moment. You can feel guilty over what you spent the money on (in my case it was holidays!) or how you may have affected your family. Now is NOT the time to be dwelling on how you ended up in debt. Now is the time to focus and take action. Use that emotion to propel you forward towards how you want your life to be.
It is not easy if you are tackling this alone. Some people can confide in family members or friends but, in my experience, many people tackle this alone. Many get in to debt without their partner’s knowledge and many wish to tackle the debt the same way.
