A quick post to wish you all a Merry Christmas and to tell you of my plans for Money Saving Journeys in 2018
I hope you are having or have had a wonderful day celebrating in whatever way you choose. For me, I am spending the day with my family. We won’t get much of a lay in as though. The boys are older now and act blasé about Christmas but they are still secretly excited come Christmas morning.
After present opening we will have some pork pie with brown sauce – a bit of a family tradition in our part of the world. I am sure there will be some chocolate eaten for breakfast too – it is Christmas Day after all.
My parents will arrive mid-morning, bringing with them more gifts. We will open these and then we will begin preparing the dinner. This won’t take long, as it is mainly all from Iceland, oven ready with no preparation needed. With two growing boys in the house, lunch will be around 1 pm. Any later than that and they think we are starving them.
With our Christmas dinner eaten and our tummies full of pudding, we will gather around the table to play a game. Last year’s game was The Chase and we had such a laugh playing it.
My parents will leave around 5 pm. The boys can have some time to chill out before we all meet on the sofa later to watch some Christmas TV.
Tell me about your day. What did you get up to?
Money Saving Journeys in 2018
Thank You 2017
Having posted my first blog post in October 2016, 2017 became the year that my blog began to grow, along with my knowledge of the blogging world. There is still so much to learn and at times I feel such a newbie but I’m getting there and growing in confidence all the time. Sometimes I have to pinch myself as I can’t believe that people really do visit my blog to read what I write and I am grateful to every single one of you.
With 2018 on the horizon, I have lots planned for the coming year here at Money Saving Journeys. I will be publishing a monthly goals post so that you can see exactly what I have planned, what I will be working on, which side hustles I will be focusing on etc. These posts will also help to keep me motivated and accountable.
There will be lots more money saving and money making posts, along with meal planning posts, travel posts and Project Kitchen (more to be revealed in the New Year) and I hope you will join me on my blogging journey through 2018.
