PINTEREST GUIDE – How to Set Up your Pinterest Account for Business

Do you want to use Pinterest to grow your blog or business?  Then you will need a Pinterest Account for Business.

I have a Step-by-Step Guide on How to Set Up your Pinterest Account for Business.  It covers everything from setting up your account, verifying your website and getting Rich Pins.  This guide will literally walk you through the whole process from start to finish, with handy screenshots of every stage and is in the form of an ebook available from Amazon.

Years ago I heard people mentioning Pinterest and Pinning and so took a look for myself.  I signed up, pinned a couple of things and …….. never looked at it again!

Fast forward and I’d decided to start a blog.  I loved reading other people’s blogs and wanted to have a go myself.  This led me in to a completely unknown world for me – Social Media.  Yes, I had a Facebook account but I hardly ever looked at it.  I had signed up for Twitter, but only to get information from the kids’ schools.  I had never ‘tweeted’ in my life.  As for Instagram, I didn’t even have an account!

What changed?

I realised that social media was one of the greatest tools I could use to get my blog out there – after all, what was the point of writing blog posts if no-one was going to read them.  I wanted the interaction with others – that’s what makes blogging fun.

Learning Curve

I had a distinct lack of knowledge when it came to anything remotely related to social media, so I began to read and read and read.  I decided to focus on just one platform at a time, as there was so much to learn, and Pinterest was the first one I chose as I kept reading how it was one of the best ways to increase traffic to your website.

If there is already information out there, why write this?

Yes, there is a wealth of information out there and some of the information is invaluable.  However, what I, personally, found was that not all the information I wanted was necessarily in the same article or, although aimed at the beginner, the article still assumed that the reader had SOME knowledge of Pinterest and I didn’t.  It occurred to me that I couldn’t be the ONLY one in this position – could I?

Step by Step Guide

I made copious notes on each step that I read about and implemented, as I really needed a step by step guide and that led to me writing this guide.  My guide really will help anyone, even those who have never signed up to Pinterest before.

What will the Step-by-Step Guide Show me?

There are 3 main things that you need to do to ensure your Pinterest account for business is optimised for your business or blog.  My guide will walk you, step-by-step, through each of these 3 stages.  At the end, your account will be ready to continue on your Pinterest journey and to gain more followers.  This guide is based on WordPress.

1.     Creating a Pinterest Account for Business

Even if you already have an account, you can easily convert an existing personal account to a business account.

2.    How to Verify your Website

Once your website is verified, any pin that comes from your website will show your profile picture.  You will also be able to access Pinterest analytics which will then allow you to see which of your pins are the most popular and what people are pinning from your boards and website.

3.    How to Apply for Rich Pins

Rich Pins are a MUST for any blog or business out there.  They automatically insert extra information each time you pin something.  I have written a little about Rich Pins below.

Rich Pins

Now a great feature of Pinterest for Business is the ability to have your pins show as Rich Pins.  What are Rich Pins I hear you ask.  I’ll show you. There are 6 types of Rich Pin; App, Article, Movie, Product, Place and Recipe.  You can apply for any type and even more than one type if required.

Rich Pin

The above is an example of an ‘Article’ Rich Pin.  As you can see it gives a headline, the author and a story description.  These are added automatically with no extra work from yourself.

So, from a business perspective, your pins are more attractive to your followers and potential followers, look way more professional AND, although a little tricky to set up (without the help of this step-by-step guide) they are definitely worth it.

Purchase my guide today and you will be up and running in under an hour, ready to take on the Pinterest world.
